he Unsavory Ingredient List - aka READ THOSE LABELS!
- Soy
protein (any form of soy): phytoestrogen and endocrine disruptor.
Interferes with thyroid function and absorption of meds, alters the
entire endocrine system, and can increase estrogen dominance. (For
starters. This is why we encourage everyone to stay far away from soy!)
- Milk proteins/whey - inflammatory, can be gluten cross reactive for some
- Rice protein - inflammatory, can be gluten cross reactive for some
- Pea protein - peas are legumes, which may be inflammatory to some
- Hemp protein - comes from a seed, which may be inflammatory for some
- Flax seed - has phytoestrogens that may affect your hormones
- Natural flavour - begins as a natural ingredient, processed with an unspecified number of solvents to create the product
- Sunflower oil - high in inflammatory Omega 6s. Highly processed, may use solvents to get oil out of the seed
- Spirulina - contains iodine and is an immune stimulant that may make some people worse
- Algae- immune stimulant, mucilaginous which may irritate the gut.
- Chlorella- immune stimulant
- Shiitake- immune stimulant, feeds yeasts, and can be hard on the gut

enterocolitis. !
- Guar gum - Complex sugar, difficult to digest.
Derived from a legume. High in cyanogenic glycosides, which are toxic
molecules. Studies show it contributes to leaky gut, can encourage the
growth of E Coli and the survival of pathogens in the gut.
- Carageenan - potent inflammatory agent and possible carcinogen
- Cane juice - problematic for anyone avoiding sugar
- Stevia - (even the natural leaf) tricks your body into thinking it's
getting glucose when it's not, which will put you in a hypoglycemic
state, which in turn spikes your cortisol (adrenals). Also causes ones
body to get sugar by breaking down tissues (creating more inflammation).
It can cause insulin resistance. Can cause issues with hormones and can
cause estrogen dominance. High in oxolates.
